Malcolm Chilman

Starting his own accounting firm in 2002, he provided business owners and investors with business advisory services and organically grow the firm until it was sold in 2023 to Baker Advice Group of Birtinya. The transition was a complete success, and he continues to work for the new firm on a part time basis.

He is particularly skilled at evaluating business on behalf of potential buyers, and vendors, advising them on accounting, legal and taxation matters. Other skills, include, working out complex taxation matters and structures for businesses and investors.

Prior to starting his own firm, Malcom participated in accounting matters for the construction industry with aspects of quantity surveying. He was also the financial controller for medium sized businesses, and had, a professional interest in marketing and IT.

More recently, he enjoys providing mentoring services through Business Mentoring Sunshine Coast, a not-for-profit organisation, helping small business owners grow and build their

businesses. He is also a keen investor through Suncoast Angels, an association that supports high growth ventures by providing them with seed and startup funding. Professional interests include, making sense of and harnessing AI, and how to evaluate marketing in the new digital space.
